Jelena Djajić-Levajac, DMA

Associate professor in the artistic field of Piano as complementary course

Pianist Jelena Đajić was born in 1972 in Belgrade where she graduated from the Mokranjac Music High School in the class of Professor Vukica Viličić. Ms. Djajić completed her Master’s degree at the Faculty of Music in Belgrade in 1996, in the class of Professor Mirjana Šuica-Babić. Moreover, Jelena Djajić continued her studies at the Rimsky-Korsakov Conservatory in Saint Petersburg, Russia, in the class of Professor Marina Wolf, and later collaborated professionally with Professor Alexander Sandler and Professor Boris Berlin. Jelena Đajić continued to improve her performance skills at the University of Arts in Berlin, Germany, in the class of Professor Elena Lapitskaya. In April 2019, Ms. Djajić defended her artistic PhD project in performing arts under the mentorship of Professor Lidija Stanković at the Faculty of Music in Belgrade.In addition, she actively participated in master classes held by Jelena Richter, Dmitry Bashkirov, Martin Hughes, and Klaus Hellwig.

Jelena Đajić began her concert career while still a student, performing numerous solo recitals and chamber music concerts. Appearances followed in almost all the major concert halls in Belgrade, as well as in other cities in Serbia, including Novi Sad, Šabac, Smederevo, Kragujevac, Niš, and Valjevo. Internationally, her performances took place in Montenegro, the Republic of Srpska, Germany, Russia, and Bulgaria. A laureate and award winner at national and international competitions, she has earned recognition for her exceptional talent.

Ms. Djajić has collaborated with the Belgrade Philharmonic Orchestra, the RTS Symphony Orchestra, and the Dušan Skovran Chamber Orchestra. Furthermore, as a member of the Weissburg Piano Trio, Jelena Đajić performed at various concerts. Through her chamber and piano music projects, she actively promotes Serbian contemporary music, performing at festivals such as BUNT, The International Rostrum of Composers, KoMA, Music Days in Vrnjačka Banja, Bar Chronicle, Kotor Art, and others.

Jelena Đajić is an associate professor at the Piano Department of the Faculty of Music in Belgrade.
