CALL FOR PARTICIPATION IN THE 17TH INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ORGANISED BY THE DEPARTMENT OF MUSICOLOGY, FACULTY OF MUSIC, UNIVERSITY OF ARTS IN BELGRADE
MUSIC IN SOCIO-CULTURAL TURMOIL
It is our great pleasure to invite colleagues, researchers, artists, doctoral students, and experts in the field of music to participate in the 17th international conference Music in Socio-Cultural Turmoil, organized by the Department of Musicology of the Faculty of Music, University of Arts in Belgrade. The conference will take place in Belgrade, from 29 to 31 October 2025.
The aim of this gathering is to connect researchers from around the world and encourage the exchange of knowledge about music as a social, cultural, and political practice. The conference is dedicated to exploring the ways in which music reflects, anticipates, or actively participates in moments of social and cultural upheaval throughout history and in the contemporary world.
Keynote speakers: Prof. Dr Georgina Born, Prof. Dr Paul Craenen, Prof. Dr Juha Ojala, Prof. Dr Dario Martinelli.
