The Faculty of Music in Belgrade participated in 2021 China – CEEC Forum of Music Academy Deans and Rectors
The Faculty of Music in Belgrade took part in the Third Forum of Music Academies from China and Central and Eastern Europe held online on November 4th 2021.
The Dean of the Faculty of Music, Professor Ljiljana Nestorovska greeted the vice president of the Music Conservatory “Zhejiang” Prof. Wang Yang, the hosts and organizers from China, as well as the delegates from Central and Eastern Europe. She reminded on the fruitful bilateral cooperation between the Faculty of Music in Belgrade and Music Conservatory “Zeijang” in the last five years, expressing hope that it will continue and further strengthen in the future. In addition, she conveyed her wishes for the next China-CEEC Forum to be held live under the more favorable conditions, alluding to the coronavirus pandemic which is the main topic of this year’s Forum.
After the dean’s address, the Head of the Faculty of Music Centre for International Cooperation Assoc. Prof. Dragana V. Jovanović, further presented the Faculty’s activities in the field of international relations in the past 2 years, stressing that even in the context of COVID-19 pandemic the international cooperation of the Faculty of Music remained active and diverse as ever.
Moreover, the international collaboration was bustling at all levels of Faculty of Music activities: in the educational process – with teacher training and teaching visits in the framework of Erasmus+ Capacity Building in Higher Education project DEMUSIS, as well as the Erasmus+ mobility program, in music performance – through joint music performances such as the project Galileo’s journey in collaboration with the Music Conservatory “Giuseppe Tartini” from Trieste (Italy) and jazz session of students and teachers from the Department of Jazz and Popular Music via LoLa system for distance music performance in collaboration with the Royal Conservatoire from the Hague (Netherlands) in DEMUSIS project. Also, in the field of music research, traditional scientific conferences such as the 24th International Pedagogical Forum for Performing Arts and the 15th International Conference of the Department of Musicology were held online, drawing large numbers of acclaimed researchers from all over the globe.
The Faculty of Music in Belgrade has been a member of the China – CEEC Forum since its establishment in 2017.
