Andjelko Stupar
Andjelko Stupar was born on 05.11.1975. in Zrenjanin, Serbia. He studied Jazz drums at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Graz, Austria from 1996 to 2002. He finished his Master’s degree with the best grade. In the same year, he represented University of Graz at a IASJ Jazz Meeting (International Associations school of Jazz) in Helsinki (Finland). His formal teachers were: Manfred Josel, Alex Deutsch, Gunther Mainhart and Karl Ratzer.
He was participant in numerous seminars, great jazz musicians such as: Ed Thighpen, Billy Hart, Peter Erskine, Al Foster, Trilok Gurtu, Jim Cobb, Adam Nussbaum, Vinnie Colaiuta, Archie Schep, Dave Liebman and others.
During and after studying, he played and recorded with many jazz musicians such as: Red Holloway, Don Menza, Dave Liebman, Miles Griffith, Jay Clayton, Mark Murphy, Sheila Jordan, Michael Abene, Stjepko Gut, Duško Gojković, Bora Rokovic, Mima Mitrović, Karl Ratzer, Fritz Pauer, Ed Neumeister, Tom Lellis, Vanja Kevrešan, Milan Nikolić, Oliver Kent, Klaus Raible, Peter Mihelić, Vesna Petković (A New One, Zama 2007), Nenad Vasilić (Folk Songs, Origin /2001), Sava Miletić, Robert Jukić, Jure Pukl (Jazoon quintet, Goga musica 2004), Igor Lumpert (Jazoon Quintet, Goga musica 2007), Ivan Ivanov (Wild flower, SJF records 2011), David Jarh (Misterioso, Rtv Slovenija 2003), Milan Stanisavljević (Awakening, Sazas 2010, Sound Quest, Barnette 2015), Jaka Kopac, Lenart Krečić, Adam Klemm, Giovani Mazzarino, Angelo Comiso, Claudio Fasoli, Klemens Pliem, Peter Kunsek, Karlheinz Miklin, Sigi Feigl, Ewald Oberleitner, Peter Herbert, Trptones, Kevstunik, De dolen, Achim Kirchmair, Ali Angerer, Pista Bartos, Julia Siedl (Good news, Minor music 2016), Marko Churnetchetz, Aleksandar Grujić, Milan Pavković, Miša Blam, Lubos Sramek, Roland Wesp, Sascha Mutc and others.
Andjelko was collaborator at jazz workshops in Macedonia, Slovenia, Croatia and Austria. He lives in Graz, Austria.
