Bojan Pešić, DMA

Assistant professor of Oboa

Bojan Pešić was born in Belgrade in 1972. He graduated from the Faculty of Music in Belgrade in 1993 in the class of Professor Ljubiša Petruševski. During his studies, he got a job at the Belgrade Philharmonic as the second oboe. He started his education at the Mannes College of Music in New York in 1997, where he studied in the class of Professor Richard Dillesio and received a degree in professional studies in year 1999. At the same time he was in the position of first oboe in the opera orchestra The Lyric Theater, in Hoboken, New Jersey. He received his master’s degree in 2003 from the Faculty of Music in Belgrade. In the same year, he got the position of the first oboe in the Belgrade Philharmonic, where he is still today. In addition to the orchestra, he actively performs as a chamber musician – he plays with two colleagues and friends, bassoonist Nenad Janković and clarinetist Veljko Klenkovski, in and Belgrade Wind Trio (he is the one of the founders). He performs with this ensemble throughout the region and records a CD with PGP-RTS. In 2005, flutists Marina Nenadović and hornist Nenad Vasić joined the trio, transforming it into a quintet called the Wind Philharmonic Quintet of the Belgrade Philharmonic, which is still active today.
