Dragana Raić, DMA
Dragana Raić was born in Belgrade, Serbia. She graduated in 1997 from the Faculty of Music, University of Belgrade, in the class of Professor Srđan Grbić, and has also completed her post-graduate studies in the class of Professor Marija Đukić. She won several prizes at national and international competitions, as well as the first Prize at the International Competition in Stresa, Italy (in 1990). She took part in the Chamber Music Festival in Denmark, where she performed at concerts with the horn trio and sextet.
She is a founding member of the piano trio Aurora from Belgrade. They have performed in many cities in Serbia (Belgrade, Kragujevac, Pirot, Novi Sad, Kikinda, Vrsac, Valjevo, Ćuprija), as well as abroad (Italy, Norway, Romania, Denmark, Croatia, Austria, Germany, and other ). They went on a concert tour through Western Germany, after having won the first prize as the best Trio ensemble performing at Weikersheim Masterclass (Germany). The members of the Trio Aurora are prize-winners of many first prizes obtained at national competions, and international competitions such as “Petar Konjović“ in Belgrade, ”Concorso Internazionale Citta di Stresa“, Italia and “Premio Trofeo Kaway“, Tortona (Italy). In cooperation with the Croatian Broadcasting Corporation, Trio Aurora made a CD recording in 2008, performing the music pieces of Antun Dobronić.
At masterclass in Weikersheim they worked with prof. Henry Meyer, prof. Matthias Kirschnereit, pianist Alfredo Perl. They also warked with Artemis quartet, Volger quartet, Vertavo quartet and Abegg trio.
With violinist Katarina Tesenji she played concerts in Belgrade and Novi Sad in organization of UMUS.
Dragana Raić is currently employed as an art associate – piano accompanist at the Faculty of Music University of Belgrade. She has held many solo concerts and performed in radio and television programs in Serbia, Germany, Croatia and Denmark.
