Dragana V. Jovanović, DMA
Dragana V. Jovanović graduated and specialized on Faculty of Music in Belgrade on the Department of Conducting, and obtained her PhD degree in class of Professor Darinka Matić Marović. She is working as the assistant professor on subjects of Choir conducting and Choir singing. She lectured on many seminars and workshops, acted as a member of jury on festivals and competitions. She is a author of several papers on choral conducting and singing and a co-writer of the book Anthology of Serbian music for children and female choir. More recently, she is interested in interdisciplinary and multimedia projects. The most memorable of those are: African Sanctus (Belgrade, Serbia, 2016), WATER – SNAKE – SMEDEREVO CITY (Smederevo, 2015), Mokranjac 1914-2014 and Water (Belgrade, 2014).
She worked as a professor and conductor of mixed choir, string and symphony orchestra of High music school Kosta Manojlovic in Belgrade, a pianist of Opera studio of National theatre in Belgrade, a collaborator of Belgrade philharmonic, as well as a pianist and conductor of mixed choir of Radio Television of Serbia. Also, she was hired as a conductor of Academic choir Obilic AKUD Branko Krsmanovic, conductor of Symphonic orchestra of Faculty of Music. She is currently most active in working with the mixed choir of Faculty of Music, and especially with Academic choir Collegium musicum. She participated in many projects, festivals and competition in Romania, Poland, Slovenia, Belgium, France, Great Britain, Ireland, Sweden, Turkey, Cyprus, Russia, Belorussia, China, South Korea, USA, Mexico, Ecuador, and Argentina. She has made own concert tours in Greece, Hungary, Bulgaria, Macedonia, Austria, Spain, Italy, Croatia and Taiwan.
She has won many prestigious awards such as Award from Predrag Milosević fond, Award from Kosta Manojlovic fond, Society of Music Artist of Serbia Award and Golden badge of Cultural Education Society of Serbia.
