Ivana Aćimoski-Žikić, DMA
Ivana Aćimoski-Žikić was born in Niš. She has finished her undergraduate and master studies at the Faculty of Music in Belgrade as a student of professor Fern Rašković. As her assistant, she started to work on the FoM of Belgrade in 1993. She has been an associate professor at the Faculty of Music in Belgrade since 2009.
She is the winner of the highest Republican and Federal recognitions, awards from the various foundations. She has been a grantee of Ivo Pogorelich and Serbian Academy of Sciences and Arts.
She has been a permanent member of Jury at the International Competition “ENKOR” since 2015, in the categories Violin and Chamber Music (ENKOR Jury Board, now International Academy of Performing Arts and Sciences), http://www.enkorcompetition.com/p/enkor-academy.html. She also served as a juror of the International Competition “Petar Konjović” in 2001.
As a soloist, she participated at prominent festivals: William Walton (Italy), Ohrid Summer Festival (Ohrid, Macedonia), Ecole Traditionnelle Russe de Piano in Geneva in the year of 2008, NIMUS (Niš, Serbia), Skopsko Leto (Skopje, Macedonia), SOMUS (Sombor, Serbia), Zemun Music Evenings, Sarajevo Winter. She held a series of concerts with Aleksandar Serdar and Natalija Mladenović in the frames of the National Concert Season in 2008.
In addition to numerous recitals in the most significant concert halls in all the biggest towns of former Yugoslavia, and many important centers abroad, she has accomplished over 40 stage performances with chamber and symphony orchestras.
She held series of recitals and concerts with orchestras in Germany, Switzerland, France, Spain, Greece, England, China, Bulgaria, Hungary, Macedonia, Croatia etc.
Her students accomplish remarkable performances and win prizes on International competitions (Italy, Ohrid, Niš…)
She recorded a CD in production of “Valve Hearts“ (Germany).
