Marija Djukić, MMus

Head of Department Council | Professor in the artistic field of Piano

Marija Đukić graduated and holds a Master degree at the Piano department at the Faculty of Music in Belgrade, where she studied with professor Srđan Grbić. She took master courses in Tours, France, with professor Alexey Nasedkin and in Sion, Switzerland, with professor Bernhardt Ebert. She spent two years specialising in Saint Petersburg, Russia, at the State Conservatory Rimsky-Korsakov, with professor Ekaterina Murina.

She is a full time professor and Head of Piano Department Council at the Faculty of Music in Belgrade.

Marija Đukić performed as a soloist and a chamber musician across Serbia, in Montenegro, Bosnia and Hercegovina, Russia, Switzerland, Italy, Greece, Turkey and South Africa.

A composer with whom she was associated throughout her career is Frederic Chopin. She performed one of the most significant and successful Chopin concerts at the Kolarac concert hall in 2010, celebrating 200th anniversary of composer’s birth. The concert was under the patronage of the embassy of the Republic of Poland.

Marija Đukić performed in various chamber ensembles, in duets with flautists, singers, violinists, accordeonist, in trios, namely Amorosso and Classica Aeterna. More recently, she is exploring and performing a repertoire for piano duo.

Marija Đukić played at the Composers Forum, the International Harp Festival, the Chopin Fest, the NIMUS Festival, the Artlink Festival, the International Festival The Days of Music, in Herceg Novi, Montenegro.

She also made recordings for Radio Belgrade. As a soloist, she collaborated with Belgrade Philharmonic Orchestra, RTS Simphonic Orchestra, Army Orchestra and Belgrade Stting Orchestra “Dušan Skovran”.
