He is an exquisite hornist, brilliant technique-wise, whose playing is characterized with very creative approach and an ability to be carried away by music itself. Throughout longstanding collaboration with Belgrade Philharmonic Orchestra, particularly stand out his contribution as a first solo hornist in symphonic works of Beethoven, Brahms, Wagner, Strauss and Mahler. There Radić had also shown qualities of a fine musician who achieves high artistic results by his professionalism and ability to cooperate with other players. Later on, he continued his work as a soloist hornist of Radio Belgrade Symphony Orchestra, along with intensive activity as a chamber musician, in numerous recordings and chamber music concerts. In this respect a concert regarding the celebration of 67 years of Radio Belgrade Symphony Orchestra particularly stands out, as in it Radić reached the peak of his playing in performance of Mozart’s Sinfonia concertante for four winds and orchestra.
Milan Radić regularly takes part in the Review of Composers, performing in various chamber ensambles.
He is a member of Camerata Serbica Chamber Orchestra as a first hornist. With that ensemble he brought about a number of significant performances under the baton of great conductors and performers, such as L. Pavarotti, V. Ashkenazy, L. Nasturica, R. Honeck, E. Pahud, J. Marin, and many others. One of the highlights of his performances with Camerata Serbica was an outstanding concert in Berlin Philharmonic concert venue which was also made into a live CD album.
Since 2001 Radić has formed a brass trio with his colleagues from Faculty of music A. Benčić (trombone) and M. Đorđević (trumpet), frequently performing demanding repertoire for this kind of ensemble. As a soloist, with an orchestral accompaniment (of Belgrade Philharmonic, Radio Belgrade Symphonic Orchestra and Orchestra of Military Club, as well as in recitals, he showed an artful taste for fine phrasing embellished with a nice, full and noble sound.
