Miloš Mihajlović, MMus
Miloš Mihajlović is a 1999 graduate of the [University of the Arts] Faculty of Music in Belgrade, and in 2005 completed his postgraduate studies there with the highest distinction. His primary teacher was the eminent Serbian pianist Professor Nevena Popović. Additionally, he has studied with many famous pianists among whom are Sergei Dorensky, Alexander Shtarkman and Michel Dalberto. During his studies, he was selected for two important awards: the Emil Hajek Award for the most talented young pianist, and another from the Olga Mihailović Fund as the most promising young pianist.
Miloš Mihajlović has won top (first) prizes at a vast number of international piano competitions. As a recitalist and soloist with orchestra, Miloš Mihajlović has performed in the major concert halls of Russia (Mariinsky theater, Tchaikovsky great hall), Serbia (Great Hall of the Ilija M. Kolarac Endowment in Belgrade, Gallery of the Serbian Academy of Sciences and Arts, etc.), and also in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Montenegro, Italy, Spain, Greece, Poland, Australia. He has participated in programs of several international music festivals, such as: Yuri Bashmet’s festivals (Russia), “BEMUS” (Serbia), NIMUS (Serbia) and the International Contemporary Music Festival in Belgrade. In 2005, he received an award from the Stanojlo Rajičić Fund for the best recital given that concert season. He has collaborated with many eminent musicians, including Yuri Bashmet, Uroš Lajovic, Mladen Jagušt, Carlos Alvarado, Angel Šurev, Dejan Savić, Darinka Matić Marović, Anatolij Novicki. He has also been broadcast on both radio and television.
In June 2001, Miloš Mihajlović began teaching at the Faculty of Music. Since November 2005, he was appointed as a Assistant Professor. In April, 2014 he was promoted to the rank of Associate Professor at Faculty of Music in Belgrade. He has also taught at the Academy of Arts in Banja Luka, Bosnia and Herzegovina.
