Rada Pećanac
Rada Pećanac was born 30.12.1961 in Belgrade. She finished Music high school “Josip Slavenski” under the mentorship of Milanka Mišević, graduated from the Faculty of Music in Belgrade in class of Mirjana Šuica-Babić and finished postgraduate studies with Arbo Valdma.
She won numerous recognitions and awards as a soloist and chamber musician, improved her skills attending courses in Grožnjan (Croatia) with Arbo Valdma. She won Italian government scholarship and studied in Rome with Franco Medori.
For 15 years she worked in music high schools accompanying strings. In years 1990, 1991, and 1995 she was an official accompanist at International Junesses Musicales Competition in Belgrade for violin and violoncello. Later she became an accompanist at the Faculty of Music in Belgrade, accompanying winds. In Bulgaria she accompanied all winds at the World Youth Orchestra audition.
She had performances with trio “Loret”, Pančevo String Quartet, numerous concerts with students and professional players in country and abroad (Czech Republic, Italy, Bulgaria, Germany). In 2008, she took part in the “National season” project with oboist Dragan Lazić and bassoon player Nenad Janković, performing at concerts all around Serbia.
She was an official accompanist at the Petja Bagovska (Bulgaria, double bass), Blagorodna Taneva (Bulgaria, violin), Giovanni Antonioni (Italy, violin), Walter David (France, oboe) and Eric Obie (France, trumpet) master classes.
In 2002 she was awarded for special achievements Acknowledgement by the Faculty of Music in Belgrade.
