Vesna Šouc Tričković, MMus
Vesna Šouc is a professor at Faculty of Music – University of Arts in Belgrade, for subject conducting. She is a music director at Terazije Theatre and also engaged in the Belgrade National Theatre and Madlenianum Opera.
As a well known and eminent conductor, who is equally successful in symphonic, theatre and choir conducting, she performs the works of world, classic repertoire, as well as the works of modern authors, including a huge number of premieres. In here very rich career she has given more than five hundred concerts and nine hundred theatrical performances (opera, ballet, musical). Mrs Šouc conducted in all Theaters, Symphony orchestras and many Chamber orchestras in Serbia and she was guest conductor of:Budapest MATAV Symphony Orchestra, Szeged Symphony Orchestra (Hungary), Riga Philharmonic Orchestra (Latvia), Narni Festival Symphony Orchestra (Italy), Istanbul Symphony Orchestra, Bursa Symphony Orchestra, Adana Cukurova Symphony Orkestra (Turkey). Even though, she was principal conductor in Madlenianum Theatre, conductor of Symphony Orchestra Faculty of music (Belgrade), Serbian National Theatre (Novi Sad) and a chief of Belgrade National Theatre Opera choir.
She has performed in some of the most prestigious venues (Salle Gaveau-Paris, Aleksandrinsky Theatre-St. Petersburg), took part in domestic and foreign international festivals and collaborated with many world famous soloists and ballet dancers. From the beginning of her carrier Vesna Šouc attracted critics and public and afterwards she has been very active in various professional music happenings. She realized the large number of recordings for domestic and foreign programs, and recorded a 6 CD’s (3 in Serbia and 3 abroad).
As a University professor she was guest at Bilgi Universitesi (Istanbul) and University of Art (Republic of Srpska).
Mrs Šouc was head of Belgrade Opera choir and three very successful choirs have been lead by her: Lola, B. Radičević and Bel Canto (she has established the last two ones).
As an accompanist opera singers she recorded a large number of concerts and recordings. Her concerts and theatrical performances invariably receive glowing reviews not only from the critics but also the public. The quality of her artistic and teaching activity is also proved by many very important awards in her country.
Mrs Šouc was warmly welcomed in: Deutschland, Italy, Canada, Russia, Latvia, Hungary, Denmark. Switzerland, Spain, Greece, Slovakia, Slovenia, Croatia, Turkey and Macedonia.
